Understanding Our Identity as God’s Light in a Dark World
It was an interesting morning when Reshma checked her Facebook and noticed a post: “There have been 104 earthquakes in Australia in the last 30 days.” That’s interesting I thought as this wasn’t the first time God had given me insight into events like this.
Earlier in Lancaster, California, while ministering, God had prophesied an earthquake in California - one that would be felt but would bring zero damage. It would be a sign for those praying for a great awakening.
Within two days, a 4.9 earthquake struck, with a depth of zero—an impossible depth, one without any damage, just as He had said. These events led me to pray more deeply, and God began showing me things on a much larger scale.
The events unfolding today are not to scare you, but to prepare you.
A Prophetic Word for the Nations
In a vision, God took me over Fiji, and I sensed they were ready. Fiji was actually the first nation where I prophesied an earthquake back in 1998, symbolizing a shift in the church and the nation.
Now, God was preparing me with a new word, this time about Australia. In this vision, I saw a massive rift opening up, splitting the land. When I shared this with friends, they confirmed seeing something similar.
Prophecy Fulfilled: God reminded me of past prophecies He fulfilled in Lancaster and Fiji as confirmation that His word was coming to pass.
A Call to Prepare: This wasn’t about instilling fear; it was about awakening and preparation for what lies ahead.
I urge everyone to prepare spiritually and apply the truth of God’s protection. I recommend The Blood and the Glory by Billye Brim, which speaks to the power of applying God’s blood in times of trial. It’s time to recognize our authority in Christ, especially in turbulent times.
Stepping into the Light
As part of my yearly prayer on Rosh Hashanah, the Lord granted me a powerful encounter. I saw a figure approaching me, carrying a large Bible. I knew immediately it was Enoch - one of my heroes.
He handed me what he called the book of mysteries and said, “Now finish it.” In that moment, I felt commissioned, receiving both Enoch’s mantle and the responsibility to carry forward his revelations.
This generation is going to walk in the mantle of Enoch, fulfilling “God’s prophetic promises.
God also revealed Isaiah 60:1 to me: Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. The word arise is not a suggestion - it’s a command, a call to action. In Hebrew, hearing implies obedience; it demands a response. When God says “arise,” He’s calling us to a visible act of faith, and I stood up immediately, responding with a “Yes, sir.”
Encountering True Light
Three years ago, while ministering, I found myself tired and ready to return home. But God had other plans. Despite my reluctance, I agreed to speak at a conference, even if for just 15 minutes. “Bring the glory,” they requested. I prayed, unsure what would unfold, and immediately God granted me a vision.
In this vision, I saw myself as light. God reminded me, “You are created in My image - you are light.”
In that moment, I understood: we, as God’s people, have allowed our flesh to dim His light within us.
Just like Adam and Eve, who were clothed in light before the fall, we are meant to shine with His glory.
You are light; you’re created in His image. When God says shine, it’s a reminder of who you truly are.
The Revelation of the Kingdom Within
Our spirit, not our flesh, is our true self. When God calls us to “Arise, shine,” it’s an invitation to step into our Kingdom identity, to understand that we are reflections of His light. The world grows darker, but within us, His light grows ever brighter
It’s time for the Church to rise, to take hold of this revelation, and to shine as His people.
Key Takeaways
Embrace your identity as light, created in God’s image.
Respond to God’s command to “arise” with faith and action.
Recognize that in dark times, God’s light within us shines brighter than ever.
May you shine His light boldly,
